I feel like I am an animal expert now after our three day tour of the animal parks here in San Diego. We both love animals so it was definitely something we enjoyed doing. So be forewarned there a lots of animal pictures coming your way so that you can feel like you were there too. Our first stop was the
San Diego Zoo Safari. This one is outside of San Diego is Escandido and it is huge! It was really fun walking around there because you feel really close to the animals and you feel good that they have so much space too. The staff was very knowledgeable there and taught us lots of cool facts about the animals and their care there. One interesting thing we learned is that Cheetahs love dogs as their companion animal, so dogs and cats can be best buds.

| This little lady is a Sugar glider. She is a marsupial and has stretchy flaps of skin that help glide through the air when she jumps off of tree branches. |

Safari top tips:
1. Parking is $12 just a heads up but it goes to the animals
2. We bought our 3 park 7 day passes at Costco for the best discounted price we have found $120
3. You can bring water and food in to the park
4. It was pretty toasty so bring water and wear sunscreen.
5. The bird show is a must see, really well done.
